Best Flooring Options for Every Room

The right floor depends on the room, how you use it and whether you have underfloor heating. Here is a quick guide to the options we fit most often.
Engineered wood
Real wood on top with a stable core underneath, engineered boards cope with central heating better than solid wood and work with most underfloor heating. They suit living rooms, hallways and bedrooms.
Luxury vinyl tiles and planks
Waterproof, warm underfoot and hard-wearing, luxury vinyl is a great choice for kitchens, bathrooms and busy family homes. Modern designs closely copy wood and stone.
Porcelain and stone tiles
Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and open-plan spaces that lead to the garden. Tiles are very durable and conduct underfloor heating well.
Carpet
Carpet still makes sense in bedrooms and on stairs, where warmth and quiet matter. Choose a good underlay for comfort and longer wear.
Do not forget the subfloor
Every floor is only as good as what is under it. We check and level the subfloor, fix loose boards and add insulation or moisture barriers where needed, so the new floor lasts.
